Time-Lapse Tuesday: Tanzania's Serengeti

January 19, 2016 G Adventures

If you’re looking to see wildlife, the Serengeti is the place to be. Over 70 large mammal and 500 bird species can be found here, including the famed “Big Five”, the holy grail of every safari-goer.

But as you follow giant herds of antelope or wildebeest, watch lions lounge in the shade or spot a cheetah as he speeds on his way, remember that the land itself can hold just as much fascination.

Whether traversing the Ngorongoro Crater, walking through human history in Olduvai Gorge or just watching the clouds roll over the “Endless Plains”, Tanzania is a treasury of natural wonders waiting to be explored.

Getting There

G Adventures runs a number of departures to Tanzania encompassing a wide range of departure dates and activities to cater for different tastes. We’re thrilled at the prospect of showing you this big blue planet of ours — check out our small group trips here.
