Time-Lapse Tuesday: Mud pools in Iceland

March 1, 2016 G Adventures

Iceland’s geothermal mud pools bubble with colour, surrounded by volcanoes, mountains and desert. Due to the boiling fumes, flora and fauna are simply unable to survive in this environment. The sulphur also has another not-so-popular side effect of making the surrounding air pungent with the smell of rotting eggs.

But the ever-changing vortexes of these geological wonders are so entrancing, we bet you’ll barely notice!

Getting There

G Adventures runs a number of departures to Iceland encompassing a wide range of departure dates and activities to cater for different tastes. We’re thrilled at the prospect of showing you this big blue planet of ours — check out our small group trips here.
