Please help: Jordan's Al Numeira Environmental Association Cafe gutted by devastating fire

August 9, 2018

At G Adventures, we strive to make the world a better place through travel. One of the most significant ways we do this is through our partnership with the Planeterra Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that helps us bring — and keep — tourism revenue to the local businesses, communities, and people who need it most. This, in turn, makes our tours unique, fulfilling, and life-changing for all involved — from our Planeterra partners to our passengers.

Recently, we have been working with the Al Numeira Environmental Association in Jordan; together, we have developed a new tourism program, NEA Cafe, that we had anticipated to launch in January 2019. Our vision was to renovate and refurbish NEA’s current location, a small café, with profits helping to address critical environmental issues in the sensitive ecosystem in and around the Dead Sea.

Unfortunately, the NEA Cafe was devastated by a fire on August 25 — and, while we are grateful that no persons were harmed in the fire, the damage to the space and equipment was extensive.

So we're asking for your help. Please click here to visit planeterra.org to learn how you can contribute towards the repair of the NEA Cafe.

Thank you!
