DAY 2 UYUNI Leave early for the long but beautiful journey to Uyuni, the starting point for the salt flats excursion. ( 1B ) DAYS 3-5 UYUNI/SALT FLATS A major highlight in South America is the three-day 4x4 excursion into the Uyuni Salt Flats and surrounding desert altiplano. Gaze out across the vast white desert of the salt flats and marvel at the red and blue lagoons within the altiplano. Enjoy the spectacular scenery, including volcanoes, salt lakes and geysers.
