DAYS 2-3 CUSCO Take a flight to Cusco and have free time to take an optional city tour or visit the local market. ( 2B ) DAY 4 SACRED VALLEY/OLLANTAYTAMBO Enjoy a full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo ruins. Stop at the G Adventures- supported women's weaving co-op before visiting the Pisac ruins. Break for lunch at the G Adventures-supported Parwa Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco. Finish the day exploring the Ollantaytambo ruins with a local guide. ( 1B, 1L ) DAY 5 AGUAS CALIENTES Catch the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Opt to visit the local hot springs or shop in the market. Those who have pre-booked and purchased the one-day Inca Trail hike will disembark the train at 104km and trek to the Sun Gate for the first glimpse of Machu Picchu from the distance before re-joining the group at Aguas Calientes for the night. ( 1B ) DAYS 6-7 MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO Early start for the guided tour of Machu Picchu. Spend time exploring this ancient site before returning to Cusco.
