DAY 1 PARO Arrive at any time, arrival transfer included. Take an orientation walk of Paro town before dinner at a local restaurant. ( 1D ) DAY 2 PARO Hike to the stunning Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest). After lunch, hike back down to Kyichu Temple, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. ( 1B, 1L, 1D ) DAY 3 JELE DZONG/CAMP Trek to Jele Dzong before camping overnight. ( 1B, 1L, 1D ) DAY 4 TSHANULA/ THIMPHU Trek to Tshalunang village through rhododendrons, conifer forests, and scenic meadows before taking a short ride to Thimphu, the capital city. ( 1B, 1L, 1D ) DAY 5 THIMPHU Visit the National Memorial Chorten, the Buddha Point, and Motithang Takin Preserve. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong. ( 1B, 1L, 1D ) DAY 6 GANGTEY Enjoy a short hike in Lobeysa to Chime Lhakhang, built in 1499. Continue on to Gangtey for a night in a family's farmhouse.
