Instagrams of the Week: Galápagos Islands

February 20, 2015 Sacha Mlynek

The Galápagos Islands made their first appearance on any map in 1570 and although they’re known for being the home of endemic wildlife made popular by Charles Darwin, the archipelago has also served as a hideout for pirates, a post office for whaling ships, and a US naval base during WWII. What’s clear from our Instagrams of the Week though, is that wildlife and landscape remain the stars of the show. And we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Getting There

G Adventures runs a number of departures to the Galápagos Islands encompassing a wide range of departure dates and activities to cater for different tastes. We’re thrilled at the prospect of showing you this big blue planet of ours — check out our small group trips here.
