Time-Lapse Tuesday: Golden Hour in the Greek Islands

June 7, 2016 G Adventures

Tanzania’s got Zanzibar, Chile’s got Easter Island, Greece’s got… well nearly 6,000 of ‘em. Even though they number in the thousands, the Greek Islands seem to conjure up similar imagery — blindingly white sugar-cube houses and sailboats set against the deep, sparkling blue of the Mediterranean. Think the reputation is mere hype or the postcards doctored? Guess again. Drop anchor in this bay on the uninhabited island of Rineia (near Mykonos) and enjoy the view as golden hour confirms why the Greeks Islands are a perennial favourite among travellers.

Getting There

G Adventures runs a number of departures sailing the Greek Islands encompassing a wide range of departure dates and activities to cater to different tastes. We’re thrilled at the prospect of showing you this big blue planet of ours — check out our small group trips here.
