Sloths enjoy munching on a healthy diet of buds, shoots and leaves, usually from the cecropia trees which form their home. To help them reach their food, they have an enormous tongue which can extend up to 12 inches away from their face. But leaves provide very little energy, so a sloth will spend up to 18 hours per day asleep. It’s a hard life!
