Time-Lapse Tuesday: Oasis city in Morocco

December 15, 2015 G Adventures

Tinerhir sits wedged between two mountain ranges, the High Atlas in the north and the Little Atlas to the south. And like the mountains which surround it, Tinerhir is a city on the rise.

While many who live here maintain a traditional way of life in farming and agriculture, social, cultural and educational projects are breathing new opportunities into this historic city.

And while the mountains may look intriguing, travellers who venture to the eastern edge of town can also enjoy the lush, palm-filled oasis, which also contains several ruins to explore.

Getting There

G Adventures runs a number of departures in Morocco encompassing a wide range of departure dates and activities to cater for different tastes. We’re thrilled at the prospect of showing you this big blue planet of ours — check out our small group trips here.
