Time-Lapse Tuesday: Shelter Rock in South Africa

February 23, 2016 G Adventures

You trek through time when you visit South Africa's Shelter Rock. Human activity in this region stretches back thousands of years, while the geological formations have stood for millions.

Monkeys, birds and game can also be seen as you make your way on a 4km (2.5 mi) trek to the summit, which rises to a height of 400m (1300 ft). While the stones may keep their placid vigil over the land, the scenes at Shelter Rock are truly ever-changing.
