Gallery for Good: Planet Her

March 4, 2016 G Adventures

  • In recognition of International Women's Day, G Adventures, Uncornered Market and Lonely Planet invite you to join us for a celebration of travel’s potential as a catalyst for female empowerment March 8-13, 2016. Travel can change the world for the better. The women of PLANET Her are living proof.

PLANET Her is a celebration of travel’s potential as a catalyst for female empowerment, a source of connection, and a force for good in the world. Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries and has the potential to become the greatest engine of wealth redistribution the world has ever known. It’s also an industry largely powered by women, providing them financial independence, access to education, and opportunities for self-empowerment that other industries can’t or won’t provide.

Laughter is a universal language. Uncornered Market visit the Good Clean Cookstoves project in a Maasai village outside of Arusha, Tanzania.

PLANET Her features photography from Haiti, Burma and Tajikistan amongst others, taken by Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott, the Berlin-based award-winning writers and storytellers of Uncornered Market. The exhibition also includes images from G Adventures for Good projects and is sponsored by Lonely Planet.
